SearchWiki Yet another thing for the SEO to consider |
|
SearchWiki, White-hat nightmare, Black-hat heaven
This isn't a Google Conspiracy article, it is an awareness on several levels that SEO is changing once again. Of course Google is going to use this information, why wouldn't they use freely available public opinion about a search listing? They already are using this information in the rating of bounces, time on page, clicks on SERPs and much more. This is simply a more direct, open, question to the person about the results. Google also changes the SERPs depending on whether you are Logged In, whether you are searching with default settings or if you have changed your Preferences to list out 100 listings at a time. SERP changes by your geographic location, your history, your last search, your search before that, whether you did a search, bounced and did a similar search. SERPs on Google are no longer static entities and already a major pain to keep track of. So the idea that any single variable, or small group of variables are going to help with your SERPs is just a fiction being spewed to the masses of the non-adept. If someone calls you up with the line "You know that Keywords are the most important thing for your SERPs, hang up and change your number. I think the real problem with SearchWiki, is that it is going to catch on rather rapidly. I've been making notes are certain sites now for days, and it helps a great deal in the "My Notes" part of life, and is very convenient to use. "It's the best feature ever! Sneak onto my boss' PC...promote all the client sites I'm working on, he comes in and checks the rankings *Bingo, bingo* Employee of the month award!" -- RoyalBlueStuey SEO Quote this article on your siteTo create link towards this article on your website, copy and paste the text below in your page.
