A Christian Novel?

Is Forever Jack : Thief of Heaven a Christian novel?

Celtic-cross

A Christian novel is any novel that expounds and illustrates a Christian world view in its plot, its characters, or both, or which deals with Christian themes in a positive way. -- Wikipedia

With this definition I would have to answer the question "Yes", as the novels are definitely based on the Christian world view(s), and make use of extensive research into the Torah, New Testament, the Apocrypha and the Talmud. Beyond this, are also references and usage of Christian Mythology -- beliefs and stories, which are not written down anywhere, or accepted by the Church as a "real belief" but continue to affect believers, and even today's sermons. (an example would be "fires" or "burning" in Limbo)

However... I didn't set out to write a Christian novel, or a Christian Fantasy. The story of the Good Thief, and the Forever Jack, are fiction and fantasy. They are dark in the style of writing, and while things work out, not everything is wonderful and happy at the end. There are no surprising rescues or fluffy good feelings. You could see them as illustrative to the life of the Good Thief himself. He is saved at the end, but still has to die of crucifixion... and that is certainly not a reward in anyone's book.
